In our dedicated endeavours to combat climate change, the Center for Sports and Growth has initiated a proactive campaign aimed at augmenting the global tree cover. Kenya’s vision 2032 is to increase the forest cover from 12.3% to 30%. In the current year, we have successfully planted a total of 300 trees in the Mathare area and its adjacent environs of Eastleigh. As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, we maintain a seedbed where we cultivate trees for subsequent donation to members of our community.
Our comprehensive approach includes not only the provision of trees but also guidance on the proper planting processes. We extend our efforts by conducting training sessions to enhance community members’ understanding of how climate change significantly impacts our daily lives. By empowering individuals with knowledge and practical skills, we seek to foster a sense of environmental responsibility and promote sustainable practices within our community.
Through these initiatives, the Center for Sports and Growth strives to make a meaningful contribution to the global fight against climate change. We believe that by cultivating a greater awareness and understanding of the environmental challenges we face, we can collectively work towards a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come.
