Employability training programs supported by the FIFA Foundation were among our key highlights in 2024. Community coaches received training in coaching, the laws of the game, first aid, and sports administration. The knowledge gained from these sessions provided community coaches and volunteers with opportunities to apply for jobs in the sports sector.
Trained coaches could secure positions as school team coaches, community club trainers, and even coaches for corporate teams that have recently been introduced at the sub-county level. Some also received short-term contracts as first aiders and referees for sports events organised by corporate entities across the country. Additionally, a significant number found consultancy opportunities as event organisers and tournament coordinators out of the skills they acquired through the sports administration workshops and training sessions.
